Ladakh Delighted – 6 Nights / 7 Days Tour Package
There is a moment, somewhere between Khardung La and the first sight of Nubra Valley's sand dunes, when Ladakh stops being a destination and starts feeling like something bigger. It is hard to explain unless you have been there. And that is exactly why planning your first Ladakh trip matters so much.
This Ladakh 6 Nights 7 Days Tour Package, called Ladakh Delighted, is built for Indian travellers who want to experience Ladakh properly. Not in a rush. Not skipping the altitude rest. Not cramming ten places into a week and coming back exhausted. This itinerary gives you the real Ladakh: its monasteries, its high passes, its river confluences, its cold desert valleys and its iconic lake, all in a well-paced 7-day circuit.
The tour starts and ends at Leh Airport and covers four of Ladakh's most rewarding regions: Leh, Sham Valley, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. It is the classic Ladakh circuit, and for a very good reason, it works.
Note: Hanle and Tso Moriri are not included in this 6N/7D program. Both require additional days and a separate routing plan. If you wish to visit either, we can build you an extended itinerary of 8–10 nights or more.
Tour Overview
This Ladakh 6 Nights 7 Days Tour Package follows a simple and practical route:
Leh → Sham Valley → Nubra Valley → Pangong Lake → Leh
The tour begins in Leh, where the first day is kept free for acclimatisation. This is important because many guests fly directly from lower-altitude cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Since Leh is located at high altitude, the body needs rest before sightseeing and longer drives.
After the acclimatisation day, the itinerary slowly introduces you to Ladakh’s main attractions. You begin with Leh local sightseeing, then explore the cultural side of Sham Valley, continue to the cold desert landscapes of Nubra Valley, and finally visit the world-famous Pangong Lake.
The route is balanced in a way that gives you a mix of history, monasteries, rivers, high mountain passes, sand dunes, lake views and peaceful Himalayan landscapes. It is not overloaded, which makes it suitable for first-time visitors and families.
Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake are included in this package. Hanle and Tso Moriri are not part of this itinerary and can be planned only as an extension.
Why This Ladakh 6N/7D Itinerary Works for First-Time Visitors
Ladakh is not like any other hill destination in India. Flying into Leh directly from sea-level cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad or Pune means your body needs time to adjust. Ignore this, and the altitude will greet you with headaches, fatigue and disrupted sleep before you even begin your trip.
Most Ladakh itineraries available online either skip the acclimatisation day to squeeze in more places or pack in destinations like Hanle and Tso Moriri that are simply not practical in 6 nights. This itinerary does neither.
Here is what makes this circuit genuinely different:
1. Acclimatisation is built in- not as an afterthought
Day 1 is kept completely free. No sightseeing, no long walks, no monastery visits. Just rest. Day 2 is kept easy with local Leh sightseeing at a slow pace. By the time you reach Nubra on Day 4, your body is ready.
2. Sham Valley gives you Ladakh's cultural depth
Sham Valley, with Alchi Monastery, Likir Monastery and Basgo, is often underrated. Most packages skip it or rush through it. This itinerary gives Sham Valley a dedicated day because it adds a completely different side to Ladakh: old murals, ancient temples, Indus River views and traditional Ladakhi villages. It is a calm, meaningful day that makes the rest of the trip richer.
3. Nubra to Pangong via the Shyok Route saves time and adds beauty
Instead of returning to Leh after Nubra, this itinerary uses the Shyok Route to go directly from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake. This route is scenic, saves a full day of backtracking and feels genuinely remote, passing through dry riverbeds, mountain valleys and small villages that most tourist circuits miss.
4. Premium stays where they matter most
Comfort at altitude is not a luxury, it is a practical necessity. Cold nights, long road drives and high altitude demand proper rest. The Saser Resort & Wellness in Nubra Valley and Saser Scenic Pangong near Pangong Lake are included in this package. Both offer heating, hot showers and comfortable facilities that help you recover and enjoy the next day fully.
5. The right balance, not overloaded, not underwhelming
Seven days is enough to see Leh, Sham Valley, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake without rushing. You get the monasteries, the passes, the sand dunes, the lake and the mountain drives, and you still have evenings to sit, breathe and absorb where you are.

Build Your Perfect Trip in 2 Minutes - Pick What You Love
On arrival at Leh Airport, our Besttripdeal representative or driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is kept completely free for rest.
This day is very important because Leh is located at a high altitude. Guests flying directly into Leh should give their body time to adjust. Avoid heavy sightseeing, long walks, running, alcohol and tiring activities on the first day.
Drink enough water, eat light meals and rest well. Some travellers may feel a mild headache, tiredness, disturbed sleep, nausea or loss of appetite. These are common signs of altitude adjustment and usually improve with rest and hydration.
If you feel comfortable in the evening, you may take a short and slow walk around Leh Market. Do not push yourself.
